Warner Bros. has commenced an internal investigation of The Ellen DeGeneres Show after multiple complaints by tendered by employees of the show.
This is contained in a memo emailed to employees of The Show recently. The memo stated that Warner Bros. will be interrogating current and former employees about their encounter on the set of the talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.
According to a report, interviews will be carried out by Warner Media’s employee relations group and an unnamed “third party firm.”
The report came after many allegations were made by current and former employees of the Television show. The allegations border around the fact that the employees were subjected to a toxic work environment.
Not too long ago, BuzzFeed News published accounts from a current employee and 10 former employees who anonymously claimed they were subjected to a “toxic work environment.”
Few workers alleged they were laid off after taking medical leave and encountered favoritism from executive producers.
In all of these allegations, Ellen DeGeneres was never mentioned to have perpetrated any of the alleged misconduct though one anonymous worker said: “I think the executive producers surround her and tell her, ‘Things are going great, everybody’s happy,’ and she just believes that, but it’s her responsibility to go beyond that.”
