The Israeli military has revealed that “99%” of over 300 projectiles fired at Israel by Iran recently night were intercepted.
Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said only “a small number” of ballistic missiles reached the country’s territory
He said about 170 drones, over 30 cruise missiles and over 120 ballistic missiles were launched at Israel by Iran but the vast majority was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force and Israeli “partners.”
He said the ballistic missiles that reached Israel fell on the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel and added that they caused only light structural damage.

According to him, the base was functioning and continuing its operations after the attack, with planes continuing to use the base.
He stated further that Iraq and Yemen also attacked Israel, but none made it into the country and added that “dozens” of rockets were launched from Lebanon toward the north of Israel but Israel recorded no injuries or deaths and retaliated by striking different targets in Lebanon.
He said: “Iran did something very serious, very severe this night, as it pushed the Middle East toward escalation. We will do whatever is necessary in order to defend the citizens of the state of Israel.”
