In a historic upset, Namibia secured its first-ever victory in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by defeating Tunisia 1-0 in the ongoing AFCON in their first-group match.
Namibia, appearing in its fourth AFCON, had previously been unsuccessful in its nine final matches, losing seven and drawing two. The southern African nation, ranked 115th in the world and 87 places below Tunisia, claimed the victory with a late 88th-minute goal from midfielder Deon Hotto.
