Former Barcelona player, Xavi Hernandez is set to take over as the manager of the club after the departure of Ronald Koeman.
At present, Xavi is Al Sadd’s coach in Qatar, but the club have recently disclosed they have agreed to let him join his former club.

Previously, the Qatari club had said Xavi would not be permitted to leave, regardless of Barca officials’ visit to the club.
Xavi who played 779 games and won 25 titles with Barca had publicly disclosed that he hoped “to go home” as Barcelona boss and that an agreement could be reached.
Al Sadd reveals that Barcelona have activated the release clause in Xavi’s contract.
The club’s statement read: ”The administration agreed on the transfer of Xavi to Barcelona after paying the penalty clause stipulated in the contract.
“We agreed with Barcelona on practical cooperation in the future, Xavi is an important part of the history of the club.
“We wish him all success in the next stage.”
