Nigerian music superstar, Ayo Balogun, famously known as Wizkid, was voted the Favourite Afrobeat Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs). Also, Tems, another Nigerian, bagged an award for her effort on Future and Drake’s track, ‘Wait For U’ which came tops in the Favourite Hip Hop Song category.
The American Music Awards took place recently at the Microsoft Theater.
American recording songstress Taylor Swift stole the night as she bagged six awards.
Beyonce, who came into the night with six nominations, won three awards.
