Famous Nigerian musician, Wizkid, scooped two awards at the recent Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.
Wizkid, who is one of the most decorated musicians in the modern music era won the ‘Best International Act’ and ‘Best African Act’ awards.
Also, Wizkid set a new record by becoming the first-ever African artiste to win the “Best African Act” and the “Best International Act” awards in a single night.
Apart from Wizkid, three other artistes of Nigerian descent won awards. British-Nigerian rapper Skepta real name Joseph Junior Adenuga won the ‘Best Grime Act’ of the year; Dave who has collaborated with Burna Boy and Tems won the award for the Album of the year and Simbiatu Ajikawo, popularly known as Little Simz won the ‘Best Female Act’ of the year award.
