The United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has appointed Yemi Oshinnaiye as its new Chief Information Officer.
Oshinnaiye, who was the deputy Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, was confirmed as the new permanent CIO of TSA.

While talking about the development, Federal News Network said Oshinnaiye would assume office in May after the resignation of the outgoing CIO, Russ Roberts.
Roberts announced his retirement in December but delayed it for a few months. However, he would hand over to Oshinnaiye in early May.

Oshinnaiye became the deputy CIO at USCIS in March 2019, but previously worked at DHS between 2012 and 2017.
He briefly went into the private sector before returning to USCIS.
During his time at USCIS, headed the plan to consolidate and improve how the agency made use of cloud services.
