United Achievers’ Club of Brampton has offered post-secondary education scholarships to 10 Peel students.
The club, non-profit community organization, was established in 1980 and has a great history of recognizing Black and Caribbean communities.
The chosen students were recognized during the club’s virtual presentation of the 38th Annual Scholarship & Recognition Awards which took place on September 18, 2022 between 6 and 8 p.m.

Insp. Joy Edwards, Human Rights Project Lead at Peel Regional Police, was the keynote speaker at the event.
The scholarships of $1,000 each were sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Brampton, Peel Regional Police, Mrs. Jennifer Cave-Williams, Drs. Darlene and Matthew Weekes, and Mrs. Vere Park.
