The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has revealed he was “shocked” by Israel’s refusal to offer Kyiv anti-missile systems to help fend off Russian strikes, according to an interview that was made public recently.
Since the start of the fight in February, Zelenskyy has been demanding weapons. He brought up Israel’s Iron Dome system, which is frequently employed to repel rockets fired from Gaza by Palestinian militants.

In a recent interview with French reporters, Zelenskyy made these comments. He said: “I don’t know what happened to Israel. I’m honestly, frankly – I am in shock because I don’t understand why they couldn’t give us air defences.”
His recent comments were stronger than the ones he made in March when he slammed Israel for its failure to send weapons. Israel was non-committal at that time and said it would help Ukraine as much as it could.
Though Israel has condemned the Russian invasion, it is careful of straining ties with Russia.

Zelenskyy said: “I understand – they have a difficult situation, regarding the situation with Syria and Russia.
“I am stating the facts. My conversations with the Israeli leadership have done nothing to help Ukraine.”
