The UK government will send asylum seekers in the country to Rwanda in a bid to crack down on unauthorized migrants, the Prime Minister’s Office announced recently.

While making the announcement, the Prime Minister’s Office said: “The home secretary will set out further details on a world-first migration and economic development partnership signed by the home secretary, Priti Patel, with Rwanda – one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa which is recognized globally for its record on welcoming and integrating migrants.”

According to reports, migrants will have their asylum claims processed in Rwanda and will be encouraged to settle down there.

The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, will announce a new set of measures which include putting the Royal Navy in charge of English Channel operations and the inauguration of a new reception center to hold people trying to enter the country to help in ending the practice of housing asylum seekers in hotels.
