UK advises citizens to avoid 12 Nigerian states

The United Kingdom has disclosed that it has identified at least 10 individuals that exhibited anti-democratic behaviors during Nigeria’s 2023 general elections and they have been placed on its watchlist.

The disclosure was made recently by the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, while criticizing a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Femi Fani-Kayode, for his recent comments that were considered to be inciting during a recent interview on Channels TV.

Femi Fani-Kayode had tweeted that the lesson of the 2023 presidential election is that God would never permit a practicing sodomite and his repugnant retinue of perverts, pimps, fraudsters, court jesters, degenerates, monkeys, slaves, and malefactors to lead Nigeria.

Llewellyn-Jones condemned Fani-Kayode’s comments and stated that it was wrong for him to speak on behalf of a party without the party distancing itself from him and cautioning him to stop. He stated that the people who made such comments must be held accountable.

According to the Deputy High Commissioner, the UK government is currently reviewing a list of between 5 and 10 individuals, which is increasing. He however stated that the UK would not publish the names on the list due to legal constraints.
