UK based YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu, arrested by the UK government over fraudulent deal

Emdee Tiamiyu, a Nigerian-UK based YouTuber who gave a controversial BBC interview, is in trouble with the UK authorities.

According to online sources, Tiamiyu’s BBC interview made the UK government prevent international students from bringing their family members to the UK after they gained admission to a UK institution, excluding PhD.

Reports have it that he has a financial case to answer to the UK government.

Recall that the UK government declared on Tuesday, May 23 2023, that Nigerians and other international students would no longer be allowed to travel with family members/dependents while pursuing a Masters degree program.

Emdee Tiamiyu who spoke to the BBC then claimed that most Nigerians migrating to the UK use schooling as a plan to gain entry into the country.

He said: “So, the student thing is not real. It is not like they need the degrees.

“They need the degree as an access road to come into the country, so a lot of these people their priorities shifted real fast.”
