University Health Network (UHN) has revealed that a system outage is causing appointment and service delays at all of its hospitals.
In a recent post on X, UHN said the “unexpected” outage is impacting service at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
“At this time, it appears the situation is not related to a cyber event.”
The UHN added that it would provide another update at 9 a.m.

While providing an update, UHN tweeted: “UPDATE: UHN continues to experience an ongoing Code Grey network outage across sites. The outage is impacting the UHN website, patient portal + patient record systems. UHN’s IT staff have identified the source of the problem and are working to restore systems safely.
“Some patient appointments and procedures are delayed at Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Toronto Rehab. A limited number of procedures have been cancelled and will be re-booked by clinic staff.
“The network outage was not related to a cyber event. We will continue to share information as systems are restored. We appreciate the public’s understanding at this time.”
