The President of the United States President, Donald Trump, has said he that his aversion to wearing masks against the coronavirus had been finally overcome but didn’t want be pictured wearing them.
Trump held up a mask and revealed he covered his face earlier while moving round a Ford auto factory in Michigan’s Ypsilanti, where workers have transformed to building respirators and other medical tools for fighting COVID-19.
While talking to reporters and photographers covering the visit, he said: “I had one on before. I wore one in this back area but I didn’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it.”
Almost everyone present at the Ford factory wore a face covering in compliance with the company’s policy and government recommendations on curbing the highly contagious coronavirus.
