Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have sacked Jose Mourinho. The former Chelsea and Manchester United coach was sacked few days after playing a 2-2 draw with Everton and some days ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Mourinho was appointed as Spur’s manager in November 2019 to replace Mauricio Pochettino and he signed a deal until the end of the 2023 season.
Mourinho took Tottenham from 14th in the Premier League to finish sixth in his first campaign and secured Europa League qualification for Spurs. However, Spurs were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage by RB Leipzig.
Currently, Spurs are currently seventh in the table and are five points off the Champions League places.
