In a viral video, Tope Alabi criticised Adeyinka Alaseyori’s song ‘Oniduro Mi’, which labels God as ‘My Guarantor’.
Alabi was highly critical of the song and said it does not totally explain God’s powers in a comment that brewed controversy.

After heavy controversy that trailed the comment, Alabi has tendered an apology to Alaseyori, whom she referred to as her daughter.
According to Church Gist, Tope Alabi acknowledged her mistake in criticising the song.
She said: “I am awfully sorry for doing that.”
She said she has dealt with the situation privately with various stakeholders in gospel music ministry.
Also, she scoffed at the suggestion that she made the comment out of jealousy.
She said: “Adeyinka is my daughter in ministry. Her Pastor asked me to pray for her because she took after me, which I did wholeheartedly. Envy who? Never! I love the girl so much.
“The atmosphere is wide enough for everyone to stretch her wings of gift without disturbing one another.”
She made it known that she is not a perfect person and disclosed she is ‘a work in progress in the hands of God’.
Alesoyori has remained gracious in the issue. She called for peace to reign in a video shared on social media.
In the video, she said: “Let Jesus take the lead. Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother, by virtue we have been blessed by her ministry.”
