Durojaiye Ogunsanya, a public affairs analyst, has intervened in the controversy surrounding Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu’s certificate from the Chicago State University, United States of America.
Tinubu’s credentials have been the subject of controversy, especially among members of the opposition parties who are trying to get loopholes they can use to get the President out of office.
Many Nigerians have been wondering why the President cannot mention anyone as his classmate while in the institution.
Also, the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar had approached a court in the US, seeking approval to grant him access to the credentials of Tinubu at the Chicago University.

Meanwhile, during an interview with TVC News, Ogunsanya affirmed that the President and himself graduated the same year from the University in 1979.
He said: “We met in the school, Chicago State University and we were in the same department, College of Accounting Business and Administrative with a major in Accounting and we were in the same class together and we graduated.
“He did attend the University and he graduated in 1979 in the same year as I did. I am here to testify that he did attend University and he was a good student.
“I’m here with my Diploma, for the world to see. We graduated together from the university, I just want to set the record straight not for any gain or favour”.
