Tallest Hanuman statue built in Brampton, to be unveiled next year

A very tall 55-foot Hanuman statue, the tallest representation of a Hindu deity in Canada, is fixed for unveiling in April 2024. The statue, which was crafted by sculptor Naresh Kumawat from Rajasthan and funded by the local temple management, will be officially unveiled at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, Canada, on April 23, which coincides with the Hanuman Jayanti, the deity’s birth anniversary.

Kumawat, known for his dexterity in sculpting Hindu deities, has erected more than 200 statues across 80 countries. While talking about the statue, he said the final touches to the statue will be given during the upcoming summer months before the statue’s unveiling in April.

Kumawat previously constructed Canada’s former tallest Hanuman statue which stands at 50 feet at the Voice of Vedas temple, funded by a businessman. He has also worked extensively in many countries, including England, the US, Australia, Poland, Mauritius, Seychelles, Dubai, Oman, and Russia.
