The agitator of Yoruba Nation, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has been arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Following his arrest, Igboho will be repatriated to Nigeria from the adjoining country. The Yoruba nation agitator was arrested at an airport in Cotonou some weeks after the Department of State Services declared him wanted for allegedly warehousing arms. It was further discovered that his plan was to travel to Germany.
While talking to Sahara Reporters about this development, a source privy to this development said: “Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou. He was arrested about an hour ago.

“He was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.
“They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria.”
It should recalled Igboho’s house in Ibadan was raided by DSS on July 1, 2021. During the raid, 12 of his aides were arrested and two of them were killed in a gun duel.
Subsequently, Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Customs Service were placed on alert to prevent Igboho from leaving the country.
