The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has been sworn in as acting president, replacing Gotabaya Rajapaksa who ran to Singapore after months of protest against him.
73-year Wickremesinghe took his oath of office before chief justice Jayantha Jayasuriya.
