The South African Police Service have disclosed that their investigations into the recent killing of rapper ‘AKA’ Forbes points to an assassination.
Police revealed that CCTV footage from the area in Durban, KwaZulu province, where the rapper was murdered showed that the suspected killer walked up to AKA and fired him at close range.
The second shooter shot at AKA’s associate Tebello Motsoane, who was also murdered on the spot.
KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, said the police were investigating people that had contacts with AKA and Motsoane before they were killed.
So far, no arrests have been made. AKA will be buried in private ceremony on Saturday with a public memorial on Friday.
