The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, has died.
His death was officially announced by the Gbagun Ruling House of Ogbomoso in a statement by Dr Aderemi Oyewumi, who said the king died at the age of 95 after he reigned for 48 years.
He has been buried according to Islamic rites inside a Vault in the palace.
President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the family of the monarch and also sympathized with the government and people of Oyo State, the Council of Obas and especially the indigenes of Ogbomosoland.
The President urged the indigenes of Ogbomosoland to be consoled with the fact that Oba Oyewumi highlighted his reign with the development of the community through enduring peace and extension of hands of fellowship to people of other lands.
