In a recent thought-provoking thread on X, Solomon Buchi, a popular media personality and writer, didn’t mince words as he raised his concerns about the state of Christianity in Nigeria.
He stated that living in Nigeria as a Christian is similar to living dangerously and added that those who disagree with this statement contribute to the danger.
The major point of Solomon’s argument borders on what he perceived as a selective outcry among Nigerian Muslims. He talked about their vocal response to the Palestinian genocide while keeping quiet about the recent tragedy in Plateau, where more than 100 Christians died.
He labelled this as hypocrisy and stated that violence seems to be condemned only when Muslims are the victims.
He spoke on the alarming situation where over 100 Christians died lives on Christmas Day and exposed the lack of visible action or condemnation. He said if 10 Muslims were killed by Christians on Eid-al-Fitr, it would most likely lead to civil unrest and widespread national repercussions.
