Toronto Police have levelled more charges against a photographer that was accused of being a voyeur.
On April 10, Toronto Police got a report of voyeurism.
It was alleged that a 25-year-old woman, a model, was contacted via social media by a photographer who requested a shoot.
They said she went to the residential basement address of the photographer in the company of a friend.
She changed in a room into another outfit during the shoot
The police said when the shoot ended, the woman went back to the change room, where she discovered an electronic recording device.
50-year-old Toronto-based Jonathan Wong was charged with voyeurism.
After a search warrant at a Toronto home was executed, electronic and computer equipment was seized.
Police alleged that more victims were identified and five more counts of voyeurism were levelled against Wong.
On December 2, 2020, he appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Ave. E.
Also, it was alleged some victims could be in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver that have not yet been identified.
Though the police said the victims are mostly women, they also included men that didn’t know they were being recorded while they were changing and using the washroom.
Police said a lot of the meetings or photoshoots happened between 2018 and 2020 at Wong’s residence or in a hotel room.
They asked anyone who had a photoshoot with Wong or believes they may be a victim to contact them.
