The Ministry of Education has announced that exit classes in Secondary schools across Nigeria will reopen for academic activities on August 4, 2020.
In a statement released recently by the Director of Press, Ministry Of Education, Ben Bem Goong, the Ministry ordered students in exit classes to resume after the Salah breaks so they can write their WAEC examinations that has been scheduled to commence on August 17.
Goong disclosed that the decision was made during the virtual consultative meeting of the Federal Ministry of Education, Commissioners of Education in the 36 states of Nigeria, Nigerian Union of Teachers, Proprietors of Private schools and Chief Executive of Examination bodies.
Initially, the Federal government suspended the reopening of schools because of the increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
