SAGA Foundation Launches Multi-Billion Naira Free Medical Equipment and Supplies In Ila Orangun, Osun State

In line with its vision to add value to society by helping immigrants and youths in Canada with skill development, education, and mentorship while promoting access to quality healthcare delivery in developing nations, Shola Agboola Goodwill Ambassador (SAGA) Foundation, launched the multi-billion naira free medical equipment and supplies.

The event took place recently at State Hospital, Oke Aloyin, Ila Orangun, Osun State and was attended by the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Orangun of Ila, HRM Oba Wahab Kayode Adedeji Oyedotun, Secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye and dignitaries from Ila Orangun, Osun State, Nigeria, United States of America and Canada. The event was hosted by Rev. Bunmi Jenyo (JP).

While speaking during the event, the Orangun of Ila lauded the project and thanked Shola Agboola, the Founder/CEO of SAGA Foundation for coming through for residents of Ila Orangun and Osun State in general. The Monarch also enjoined other people to emulate the gesture.

In his opening remarks, Shola Agboola thanked Senator Adeleke for gracing the event. He also thanked Oba Wahab Oyedotun and other dignitaries for their presence. He thanked the Canadian government, the Government of Manitoba and International Hope Canada for the provision, coordination and arrangement of the equipment and supplies. He also appreciated the support of His Eminence, Archbishop Benjamin Samson Mustapha and Rev. Bunmi Jenyo.

He stressed that the deplorable state of healthcare system he witnessed as a young boy growing up in Nigeria, which led to the demise of his father, spurred him to develop a healthcare support initiative with led to the launch of the multi-billion naira medical equipment and supplies at Ila Orangun. He extended an invitation to anyone who wishes to partner with the Foundation in advancing this humanitarian endeavour.
