According to reports, the owner of Chelsea Football Club, Roman Abramovich, wants to sell the club to a person or group who will continue his investment policy and look to redevelop Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Football Club has been put up for sale by Abramovich after coming under heavy fire for allegedly having ‘close ties’ with Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
However, the Russian wants to sell the club to a buyer who shares his policy and views to sustain the club’s success.
The report states: “Abramovich wants to make sure the club is sold to someone or a group who will carry on his policy of investing in the squad with a view to redeveloping Stamford Bridge or building a new stadium.”
Many potential suitors have emerged since the news broke that Roman Abramovich will be selling the club.

American Merchant Bank, the Raine Group, will oversee the sale of the club.
While talking about the sale of Chelsea Football Club, CEO Joe Ravitch said: “We are not going to rush anything. It is very important that Chelsea have the right owner to guide the club forward.”
