Cameroon’s Goalkeeper, André Onana has insisted he put his “efforts and energy into finding solutions to a situation that a footballer often experiences” but discovered “no will on the other side.”

Questions were asked after Andre Onana did not feature in Cameroon versus Serbia match at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
It was later revealed that Onana clashed with the team’s Head Coach, Rigobert Song and was consequently omitted from the team that played the Serbs. He was later sent home after he was omitted from the squad for their last group-stage match against Brazil.
Onana, who plays for Inter Milan, addressed the situation in a statement after the Cameroonian FA released an official announcement revealing that he had been suspended from the team.
He explained that he has tried to support the team in any way he can.
