Food recall warning is in effect for chicken sausages sold at Costco stores and other retail outlets that might be selling the product.
Connie’s Kitchen branded chicken sausages (specifically in the feta and spinach flavour) have been recalled by Health Canada, because of the potential of plastic pieces embedded inside the sausage.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has urged consumers to not purchase or eat the item and retailers have been asked to pull the recalls from their shelves.
The recalled sausages are sold in size 1.1 kg with the code: 2023 OC 15 and UPC #6 27907 06161 5.

The recall has been acknowledged by Costco on their website and provided details of the impacted product which include the item number #425417 seen at their warehouses.
The producers of the product and the Costco Wholesalers company have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the recall and whether anyone experienced health concerns after consumption.
The exact number of recalled products that were sold in Ontario and all over Canada remains unknown.
Also, Health Canada has not revealed on their website if any reports had come in regarding injuries sustained due to the consumption of plastic.
