A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Benue State, Ben Akile has been kidnapped by unknown gun men.
According to sources, the party chieftain was kidnapped on Sunday September 22nd, while travelling on a journey with the party’s legal adviser; their vehicle was said to have been attacked by gunmen at Mbatom village along Katsina Ala-Zaki Biam road.
Bemgba Ioryyom state publicity secretary of the party, confirming the incident to news men; stated that the vehicle in which the people were travelling was abandoned at the scene. The party men were reported to be travelling to a meeting convened by the senator representing Benue North East, Gabriel Suswam.
