Bose Omolayo has won Nigeria’s second gold medal in powerlifting at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Omotayo came first in the women’s 79kg category.
Also, she set a new world record after she lifted 141kg.
Nataliia Oliinyk and Russia’s Vera Muratova won silver and bronze respectively.
Nigeria’s first gold at the ongoing event in Tokyo was won by Latifat Tijani.
As things stand, Nigeria occupies the 24th position on the medals table with two gold and two bronze.
