Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has debunked claims of abusing her during her lifetime.
Osinachi died recently after five days in a coma. Family members, friends and children of the deceased who was a lead choir at the Dunamis International Headquarters, Abuja, alleged that Peter subjected her to domestic violence.
Nwachukwu has since been arrested by the FCT police command on grounds of suspected culpable homicide.

While speaking from police custody, Nwachukwu disclosed that his late wife had been sick since last November last year. He made it known that he first took her to Federal Medical Center (FMC). From FMC, he later took her to Gwagwalada General hospital before taking her to National hospital, where she died. He did not reveal the nature of her illness.

Peter who is currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), was led in handcuffs to their matrimonial home to provide evidence of the hospitals he claimed he took his deceased wife to for treatment.
An autopsy is to be carried out on late Osinachi’s body to determine the cause of her death.
