Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, is making the headlines after his club, Napoli, mocked him on TikTok.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has expressed his disappointment with the TikTok post and has threatened legal action.
The striker has scored three goals in six appearances this season and has failed to score in his past four games.
Napoli posted a video of Osimhen missing a penalty against Bologna on their TikTok account, with a high-pitched voiceover saying “gimme penalty please” dubbed over the top.
Calenda tweeted: “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable.
“A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.”
Osimhen joined Napoli for 81.3m Euros in the summer of 2020 and he played a vital role in helping them win a first Serie A title in 33 years last season by scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances.
