Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has won the Spanish PrimeraDivision golden boot following an impressive goalscoring 2021-22 season with champions Barcelona.
In view of the development, the four-time Africa Women’s Player of the Year becomes the first woman from the continent to achieve the great feat, scoring 20 goals in just 12 starts of all 19 league appearances.

The history-making Oshoala who opened her season account with a brace in a 5-0 win over Real Betis on September 11, grabbed her 20th goal of the season in a 5-1 win against Sevilla on May 5.
Though she was sidelined for 16 weeks due to injury, the 27-year-old garnered the same number of goals as Brazil’s Geyse of Madrid CFF.
The Falcons’ forward was introduced as a 63rd minute substitute during their last match in which they defeated Atletico Madrid by 2-1 but she failed to add to her tally. She played fewer matches (19) than Geyse (27).
Remarkably, Barcelona won all their matches of the campaign.
