The presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, Peter Obi has revealed that he left Anambra state in good financial health after 8 years as Governor.
Obi, who is currently on world political tour, disclosed that he was able to leave $155 million and more than N30 billion in the coffers of Anambra for his successor, Willie Obiano in 2014, adding that he would have pocketed the money like his predecessors and nobody would know.
The Presidential hopeful also averred that he received more than half a trillion as Governor of Anambra which he channelled into the development of the state while declaring that he would stop campaigning if 1% of the money was traced to be missing.
“I received over half a trillion naira as a Governor. If you can trace where 1% of it was missing, I will stop campaigning.”
Also, Obi vowed that if anyone is able to unravel any piece of land allocated to him in Anambra, it would make him stop campaigning.

“If you go to Anambra State and see any piece of land allocated to Peter Obi, I will stop campaigning,” he said.
In his words, he rejected all the mouth-watering fringe benefits offered while he was exiting the Anambra State Government House.
