The Pope warned priests and nuns about the drawbacks of watching online pornography, saying it weakens the priestly heart.
Pope Francis, 86, stated this when he was responding to a question on the most appropriate use of digital and social media during a session in the Vatican.
Pornography, he said, was “a vice that so many people have… even priests and nuns. The devil enters from there,” the Pope told priests and seminarians.
He strongly admonished his listeners to use the social and digital space sparingly as it has the propensity to lead astray and corrupt the most saintly heart.

“The pure heart, the one that Jesus receives every day, cannot receive this pornographic information,” he said.
The Pope advised the group to “delete this from your phone, so you will not have temptation in hand”.
Generally, the Church sees pornography as an offence against chastity and a perversion of morality and decency.
