Rangers football club of Enugu, have been charged over breaching the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Framework & Rules.
During their match at Abia Warriors recently, it was alleged that some officials of Rangers brought the game to disrepute after their violent reaction to provocation from the home team (Abia Warriors), which is an act of misconduct under the rules of NPFL.
Besides the N1 million fine, Rangers were also ordered to identify and produce the officials involved in the act of misconduct for additional sanctions.
The Enugu club have been warned that if the act is repeated, there would be severe sanctions.
The NPFL said Rangers have 48 hours from the date of notice to appeal or accept the sanctions.
