The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has given the Nigerian Government a seven-day ultimatum to reverse every perceived anti-poor policy including the recent hike in the pump price of petrol or face an indefinite nationwide strike from August 2.
According to Vanguard, NLC has directed all affiliates and state councils to instantly commence mobilization of workers and other Nigerians, including civil society allies, for an indefinite strike and mass protests if the government fail to meet its demands.

The decision was made during NLC’s Central Working Committee, CWC, meeting which took place recently at Abuja Labour House.
