Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija, and her husband of 30 years, Modupe Alakija, have separated.
Reports have it that Alakija, mother of four, and the businessman no longer live together in their Ikoyi matrimonial home.
The couple were alleged to have been having frequent misunderstandings that led to the separation.
The lawyer cum businessman was allegedly linked with former beauty queen in the past.
Modupe Alakija, the husband of billionaire Folorunso Alakija, made the headlines after his suspension by Ikoyi Club over alleged assault a few years ago.
According to a circular signed by Bamidele Ibironke, Secretary of Ikoyi Club, Modupe was accused of physically assaulting and abusing a member of the club.
According to the notice, the suspension ran from December 2021 to November 2022.
