A total of £3.27m has ranked Nigerians in the UK to be the highest sender of money to their home country based on the recent reports released by the World Bank.
The reports showed that Nigeria was the highest receiver of cash from the UK, followed by India, France and Pakistan in 2017.
This has also ranked the UK in the top four largest source of remittances beneath the US, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates with a global amount of £483bn in 2017.

However, Australia was the largest sender of money to the UK, while migrants in the UK were sending large amounts of money back home, with US$1.08m sent from there into the United Kingdom.
Other large senders to the UK include the US, Canada, Spain and South Africa, to make up the top five largest senders to the UK.
The report released by the World Bank showed that India is the biggest receiver of remittances in the world, receiving a total of US$68,968m closely followed by China who received US$63,860m.
The US who houses the largest number of migrants from developing countries is also the largest sender of remittances in the world.
