Elisha Abbo, is said to be the youngest senator in the country, at 41. He had reportedly gotten into an argument with the shopkeeper, and, perhaps power drunk, had put a call through to police officers, including the Assistant Inspector General of Police.

This same policemen, particularly the Police Commissioner in Charge of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Ciroma, told Premium Times that “he would like to receive the victim at his office urgently to explore a resolution of the case.” Nothing about bringing charges against the senator.
