Nigerians Demand Justice After Senator Elisha Abbo Is Caught On Tape Assaulting A Woman

It was hard to watch. Just a little “Take it easy,” and a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Elisha Abbo of Adamawa State, is seen on tape slapping around an innocent woman. All because she said “Take it easy.”

Elisha Abbo, is said to be the youngest senator in the country, at 41. He had reportedly gotten into an argument with the shopkeeper, and, perhaps power drunk, had put a call through to police officers, including the Assistant Inspector General of Police.

They called the Assistant Inspector General of Police, over an argument, guys.

It’s funny, because it is in this same country that you will call the police when you need actual help and…

This same policemen, particularly the Police Commissioner in Charge of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Ciroma, told Premium Times that “he would like to receive the victim at his office urgently to explore a resolution of the case.” Nothing about bringing charges against the senator. A resolution, he says. Not justice.

“This is the face of a woman beater.” “This is the face of a coward.” Those are the words social media users have for Senator Elisha Abbo.

Rapper MI described the senator as a “f***ing woman beater” and must face the full wrath of the law. Banky W said this is why he’s been insisting we pay attention to who we let into the National Assembly. “Shame on him,” he said, “and shame on us for allowing the worst of us to claim the title of Senator.”
