A Nigerian health worker, Ugonwa Okeke, has died after battling with Coronavirus disease in New Jersey, United States.
Ugonwa Okeke graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) and relocated to United States few years ago. She was on the path to success as a health care provider in New Jersey but her quest for a successful career was cut short by Coronavirus pandemic.
Ugonwa’s friends and family members are currently mourning her and some of them have taken to Facebook to announce her death.
The news of her death was broken by Samson Idonigie on his Facebook page. While breaking the news, Samson added that Ugonwa died while saving others.
He wrote: “With sad heart we announce the death of our own Ugonwa Okeke (Heath Care Worker) New Jersey of Covid-19.”
