Governors of the 36 states in Nigeria have expressed shock over the demise of Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile, who died in an auto accident in Kaduna State.
In a statement, the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr. Kayode Fayemi expressed his sorrow over the death of the pilot.
Governor Fayemi described the late pilot as an intelligent and promising officer who exhibited a high level of loyalty, patriotism, and commitment to Nigeria.
He stated that Nigeria Governors’ Forum regretted that the pilot’s life ended prematurely at a time she had offered so much to the upliftment of her country.
He said: “Her demise is not only the family’s loss but that of the Nigeria Air Force, the government and people of Kogi State and the entire country.”
