Nollywood actor, Romanus Amuta, famous for playing the role of Natty in ‘New Masquerade’, the popular Nigerian sitcom, has died. He died at the age of 79.
According to his family, the popular actor died in a Lagos hospital in Lagos recently after battling a protracted ailment.

Amuta hailed from Ukana in Udi LGA of Enugu state. He started his career in the media landscape and worked with the Daily Times newspaper before he delved into the movie industry.
He came into the limelight after he featured in the ‘New Masquerade’ — which was one of the highly popular TV series in the 80s.
Amuta is survived by wife, and six children.
