The Director of Civil Society in the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Naja’atu Muhammad, has resigned. She resigned a few weeks before the election.

She resigned just one month before the 2023 presidential election with a letter sent to the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
In her letter, Naja’atu stated that the new developments in the party do not align with her beliefs and values.
She said: “The challenges that Nigeria faces today require me to continue championing the struggle for a better country with a clear conscience as I remain absolutely loyal to Nigeria.
“I am committed to supporting individuals that are truly interested in addressing the root causes of our challenges. To remain true to such commitments, one must be willing to take bold and decisive steps.”
She further urged Nigerians to make the right decisions and choices in the coming 2023 elections.
