King of Clay, Rafael Nadal has won his 20th Grand Slam title after beating Novak Djokovic in the final of the 2020 French Open recently.
As a result of this feat, the Spanish tennis player now levels with Roger Federer as all-time leading men’s tennis player as they both have 20 Grand Slam titles.
Nadal beat Djokovic 6-0 6-2 7-5 to claim his record-extending 13th French Open title.
After losing to Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic praised the 13th time French Open winner. He said: “Today you showed why you are king of the clay. I have experienced it.
“I am not so pleased with the way I played but I was definitely outplayed by a better player on the court today.”
In the same vein, Nadal heaped praises on Djokovic by saying he was doing “something very special” to the sport.
He said: “For me winning here another time, I can’t even say it is a dream.
“It is out of my thoughts. I am super happy. This court is the most important court in my tennis career.
“Just to play here is a true inspiration and the love story I have with this city and this court is unforgettable.”
