Independent Jorgi, a rising Afro trap artist, has criticized popular female Nigerian artists, including Tiwa Savage, Tems, and Teni, for their indifference towards supporting fellow female artists.
Jorgi, who is gaining popularity in the Afro trap scene, accused these singers of being self-involved and ignoring opportunities to work with up-and-coming talents, especially women.
Jorgi also claimed that unlike their male counterparts, these female artists are focused more on their individual success and less on developing new talent in the industry. She defined true success as helping others grow and develop their careers.
Recall that Speedy Darlington previously shared similar sentiments. In February 2023, he accused Teni and Tems of lacking originality and alleged that they were imitating the style of Tiwa Savage.
