The Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey was emotional during his reaction to the death of George Floyd, an African American man which was captured in a video while a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for 5 minutes.
While talking during a press conference, Jacob Frey said: “Being Black in America should not be a death sentence. For five minutes, we watched as a White officer pressed his knee into the neck of a Black man. For five minutes.”

While continuing with his speech, the Mayor got visibly emotional. He paused, took a breath and continued with his speech.

He said: “When you hear someone calling for help, you are supposed to help, so officer failed in the most basic human sense.”
Also, Frey reacted on his Twitter page after it was reported that the 4 officers involved were sacked.
Frey tweeted: “Four responding MPD officers involved in the death of George Floyd have been terminated. This is the right call.”
