Mayor of Mississauga, Bonnie Crombie, is expected to formally declare her intention to run for the Ontario Liberal Leadership at an event which will hold soon.
According to information, the event will take place this Wednesday, June 14. The information stated: “Join Ontario Liberals supporting Bonnie Crombie and members of the community for a special event in Mississauga on Wednesday, June 14th.”
Bonnie Crombie said she’s exploring a bid for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal party on May 22.
Crombie became the Mayor of Mississauga in 2014 and was a federal Liberal Member of Parliament between 2008 and 2011.
After weeks of speculation, news emerged that Crombie will contest and had established a campaign website, www.bonnieforleader.ca
Information also has it that Crombie has formed an “exploratory committee” to mull a leadership bid for the provincial Liberals, that captured only eight seats in last year’s election.
