Manchester United’s match against Liverpool has been postponed after a lot of angry fans invaded locked-down Old Trafford in a security breach today.
An organized protest by United’s fans against the rich owners of Manchester United, the Glazers, degenerated into a face-off with police at the stadium’s entrance some hours before the game.
During the protest, the angry fans voiced out their displeasure over the way the club has been managed and the involvement of the club in the failed European Super League, chanted and lit flares beside the team bus as the bus waited for the squad outside the hotel of the club while a large protest outside Old Trafford led to fans invading the pitch.
Also, footage showed fans chanting towards Sky Sports television studio and cameras installed in the main stand of the stadium, while protestors were also seen holding the United corner flags.
Amid the hullabaloo, the match has been postponed, and new date has not been fixed for the clash.
